STAR's core function for us, as a bibliographic database, has remained

"We have been using STAR since 2001, and couldn't be happier. We were
able to install the software and have materials available to online
researchers very easily and quickly, and now we have over 3 million
pages of materials from a wide variety of formats, including documents,
images, maps, and audio and visual, available for searching by anyone
with an internet connection 24 hours a day. Our online resources are
used thousands of times a day and hundreds of thousands of digital
copies of original materials are downloaded each year. Our resources
are used by a great variety of researchers, including students, Vietnam
